Ouachita ID Card
The Ouachita ID Card is the official identification card for the students, faculty
and staff at Ouachita Baptist University. It offers a convenient, easy and safe way
to utilize campus services. The Ouachita ID Card serves the following purposes:
- University Identification
- Food Service
- OBU Dollars
- Library Card
- Residence Hall access
- Access to computer labs, Sturgis and other facilities
- Laundry Services
All Ouachita Baptist University students are issued an ID card that allows them to
use campus facilities and take part in campus activities such as athletic events,
fine arts performances and rec sports. It is also used when writing or cashing checks
at Student Financial Services.
Food Service
The Ouachita ID Card is also used to access the Ouachita Commons, the primary dining
center on campus. All residential students have unlimited use of the Commons any time
between 7:00am and 7:00pm on weekdays, and regular meal times on weekends. In addition
to the Commons, Ouachita students have access to retail food outlets on campus, including
Dr. Jacks, Chick-Fil-A and the Tiger Grill, through their ID cards.
OBU Dollars
Ouachita students can add OBU Dollars to their ID card account which can be used to
make purchases on campus at the Bookstore or vending machines. By using OBU Dollars
you don’t have to worry about carrying cash or writing checks.
Library Card
The Ouachita ID Card also serves as a library card. This allows students to check
out books and other reference works from Ouachita’s Riley-Hickingbotham Library.
Building Access
Access to the residence halls at Ouachita is controlled by a security system monitored
by Campus Safety. Residential students at Ouachita will use their ID cards to enter
their residence halls at night. Other campus facilities, including computer labs and
Sturgis Physical Education Center, are secured for your safety at night and can be
accessed using your ID card.
Laundry Services
Residence halls and apartments at Ouachita have washing and drying machines for laundry.
Instead of trying to find quarters to use the machines, students can use their Ouachita
ID card to activate the washers and dryers for no additional cost.
